How to determine the "age" of a crack on the windshield?
I had a little accident about a week ago, (front right) the windshield cracked on the drivers side(weird). Yesterday i went to an estimator, and he told me that the crack was there before the accident and i would have to file a different claim for that.
now is there a particular way that will prove him (or me) wrong. the car might be a write-off and the cost of the windshield repair will be taken off from the cost of the car, and i think it will probably be about 15-20%. Another thing, the temperature outside was fluctuating between -27c to -1c for the week after the accident. not sure if that is relevant. Google did not give any results.... |
