New Lada's

I was recently on AutoVAZs(Lada to most peoples) homepage in Russian when I came across some interesting new cars. The 1117,1118 and 1119, which are a supermini range which don't look a 80s throw back. They look pretty good, perhaps the best and most modern local made Russian car ever. Even the interior looks decent. Lets hope its a bit more reliable and not as tacky as Lada's in days gone by.

1119 Hatchback

1118 Saloon

1117 Wagon

Re: New Lada's

Looks like the offspring of a Ford focus and a Saturn.

Re: New Lada's

The 1119 looks like an Indica.... Sort of.

AutoVAZ have revealed another new car, the Lada Siluet. Designed to be a small saloon aimed at the VW Golf and Opel Astra, the Siluet will probably be the most stylish and well-built Russian car in decades. It will use an updated version of GMs ECOTEC 1.6litre engine which produces 89ps. The Siluet will go into production in 2007. A heavily updated version of the current Lada 110,112 and 111 will also be released in 2007 as the Priora.

Re: New Lada's

That Siluet has a strong resemblance with the Ford Fiesta Sedan

I actually think it looks a bit like the new Kia Cerato(Spectra) Sedan. With the swooping side profile and all.

Amazing Lada(AutoVAZ,whatever!) still use this cars major components today. Just shows how good a car it was mechanically.

Re: New Lada's

Lada's already killed their rep here in Canada. too bad too cause the Niva wasn't such a bad little off roader.
