Ahh..well dig it out lol..We've had some nice weather here so I attempted the power window conversion into my RS lol..-fail- Do you have to have adapters to mount the VR4 brakes ? or direct swap ? I would like some more stopping power :/

Don't be jealous of my single piston calipers...lol.

I've seen alot of people making adapters. No one just changing out the hub.. so going to give that a try

Re: Black cherry Project

Sorry to keep bumping this, but I am SOOOOOOO stoked!!! The car is finally out of the mud and ready to go in the garage.
Right now we have the 3000gt in there. We're pulling of the brakes to go on this car
Also, have an open dump for it too!

Re: Black cherry Project

why not just do the Brembo swap off an evo? all you need then in a different knuckle... which can be found from time to time on ebay, then you would be rolling with SEXY brembos...

EDIT: I dont wanna be the only one w/ brembos... someones got to do them to! it'll be FUN...

Re: Black cherry Project

So your pulling parts off your 3000GT to fix up some 1G ? Does your 3KGT run or is it dead ? I hate seeing those beauties in the scrap yards.

Looks like you've got the right idea with that mod list so far to make some excellent power =) As for the clear timing belt cover I hear they warp from the engine bay heat and discolor ( not from a very mechanically inclined person mind you. )

The 3kgt is wrecked in the front end. The motor does run. Body wise, it is not salvagable.

So that kinda sucks. But I was going to part it out, make some money back.. but I found a guy who's going to pick up the complete body from me this weekend

That sucks about the timing belt cover.. Do you have any links for that, I'd like to read up on it a bit.

So with the money coming in from the 3kgt, I'm picking up the new parts. I'm debating on a few things:
FP race manifold- one for me, one for t67
Carbon Fiber hood/ headlight covers
Start on my silver car and get the 2.4 block started
1000 + injectors for E85 (since I was just going 750 to get me by)

Re: Black cherry Project

I've got the clear cam cover on my Eclipse I hope it doesn't get discolored. When I bought it the information included w/ it said that it won't warp, discolor, fade, or yellow lets hope because they cost tooo much to just go to shit. Sorry about the big pics.

Re: Black cherry Project

Looks good ned!! I thought about either going that orange color on my silver talon or pink.. A while back I found some baller 5 spoke wheels that same color as your VC. HOT!!
How long have you been running the clear timing belt cover?

Thanks alot bro, I've been adding something every few days. The other day I added that Plug wire cover I got off ebay and before that was the allan key bolts that hold the valve cover in place. I bought the clear cover off ebay and I added 2 weeks ago the MSD wires w/ the NGK plugs.
