Well are you boring the motor .020 over right? If you are you might as well just get the crank.

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
I think he wants to be able to rev it high.

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
Nah, I would rather have a motor that can rev higher. IMO, the 2.4's will have better bottom end power and spool the turbo quicker, but a shorter powerband. But, the 2.0 will be able to stretch the power band out further... If I am understanding everything I've ever read correctly... Somebody please correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
Well, I think its all basically the same. You cant rev out a 2.3 as far, but it spools quicker, and vice versa on the 2.0. I think it basically cancells out, you have basically the same power band range, but its shifted like 800 RPMS higher on the 2.0. The 2.3 will have a bit more bottom end torque though. I say 2.1 destroker. Kinda best of both worlds, extra displacement and extra revs. Mmmmm. If I were to do a bottom end build thats what I would do.

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
I was going to go with a destroker but from graphs that I've seen it actually has less bottom end than any thing else. I think it makes peak power close to 8k and up to 5k it makes less than 150hp and tq. That is with peak hp being 707 and tq being 503. IMO its not worth it because then you have to make everything else work at 10k+

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
I have a whole bag of parts missing now and I think some fucking kid took it when my brother had him in our garage, because my brother let the kid take some parts from my 7 bolt. I'm seriously going to choke a bitch!!!

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
The 2.3 is going to make more power motor wise than the 2.0. And when you look at it, you won't loose that much rev on the 2.3 opposed to the 2.0.

Yeah, if it was stolen I'm seriously gonna mess somebody up... My brother says that he never let the kid out of his sight and that he couldn't have taken it... Lemme guess, the bag grew wings and flew away?... Yeah I'm seriously pissed off about it cause the boost controller is going to longemoco on here and of course with my luck it was in the bag... I really hate it when something goes missing like this.

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
Ok guys, I finished up most of my interior parts today with the black conversion. All I have left to do is finish ripping the dash out, the seats, carpet, and headliner and it'll be done. Heres some pictures for ya. Lemme know what ya think.
