I have 1 pm9 m/t ecu and 2 pm5 a/t ecu's and a d15b2 w/ a m/t.

what should I do?

I have been using the pm9 and it is extra slow.

the pm5 throw code 19 but they run the engine and it much faster.

Is it possible to convert or bypass the "Lock Up Control Solenoid Valve" circuit on a pm5 a/t ecu so it does not turn on the ces light?

or must I get the pm5 m/t ecu?

whats the worst that could happen by running a d15b2 dpfi with an automatic transmission ecu with a manual transmission car?

thanks

i tried driving it again w/ the pm5 and ran fine for 1/4 mile and then it wouldn't idle, it would die if I let the rpm get to low. it ran okay last night, it does have a higher idle speed w/ the pm5's when it is working.

the PM5's A/T features, I think, can be bypassed somewhere on the ECU board by adding a resistor.. can't remember exactly though.

If the PM9 runs it, even extra slow, use it... what did the PM9 come from? I can't remember... anyway, DPFI cars are pretty slow to begin with... so yeah.

Well hell, you basically have a D15B2 there.. they're inter-swappable. Keep using the PM9 until you can get the ECU for you engine. Or do a MPFI swap.

this kind of the same topic

I having some difficulties identifing parts--------

so how would I tell JDM d15b vtec block, pistons, crank, head, intake, ect. from say a d15b2 or b7-- I see on my d15b2 a code case on the head and pistons pm3, so would a jdm d15b have this same kind code case in the same spots which would p08(please correct me if Im wrong), and would I have to measure the other parts (rods ,crank, ect.) to know for sure that it is a jdm D15b vtec--- is there any "D15B" that is non-vtec and that could possibly been dpfi for the factory (because there was one at pull-a-part, or was this some scraped together job)?

Also along the same inquire- How would I know for sure , say a d16z6 , was ALL d16z6 (especially the intake manifolds) without breaking out the micrometers and microscopes? and d16a6 also?

I guess alot of this comes with experience though.

thanks for the help

The part identifier numbers are always in the same places, regardless of what engine in a series you're looking at.

If it's a JDM engine, there is no number after the letter, so D15B will show just that on the block tag.

You can visually check for a D15B crank b/c it has 1.5 main journals and 1.6 sized rod journals. The D15B is Vtec, so check for the presence of a Vtec solenoid.

I'm pretty sure that NO JDM engine came with DPFI on it, so if it's in there, it's hacked together.

Are you looking at a CRX DX with DPFI and a D15B in it? Cuz I know someone that has one, and is selling it. They bought a D15B as a replacement engine, and put it in using the OEM configuration, just to get the car running.
