Tamiya yamaha yzr m1 laguna seca - rossi
Hi!, after building scratch bikes and modifying die cast bikes, I tought I deserved a good model kit, so I was thinking wich one to get, the Yamaha M1 Intercoloring edition with transkit, tje Model Factory Hiro Suzuki GSX Endurance version, or the Tamiya Honda RC166 with detail items, but my wife surprise me giving me the Tamiya Yamaha Intercoloring Edition, so here it is:
I loved the livery from this bike, here some images: I want to make the superdetailed version, I have seen some incredible builds in forims like this: Here is the Top Studio transkit: And this is the Tamiya Fork for this model: So I ordered a lot of "aftermarket" items for this bike, the first one was the Top Studio trasnkit: To tell the true I expected a lot more, is called "superdetail kit", so I tought it included the chain, more photoedched parts, like front disks, mesh, clutch, I espected screws, but not, and the instructions are not so clear, I dont know where most of the cables and wires go: And here are some items I ordered, the fork came from Ebay Hong Kong, other parts fron United States, some others fron Hiroboy and Strada Sports, and some from Australia: Im still need to order the chain tensioner from Tiner Model Manufactory and some screws.

Re: Tamiya yamaha yzr m1 laguna seca - rossi
So I began the build, I jump from one section of the bike to another so the primer or the glue dries, so it looks like a messy build.
Engine assembly: Cutting the exhaust tail to add the metal one: And need to sand the atachmet to hold it with the photoedched one and added one more divition: Some putty on the front fender, and I erased the simulated screws to add real ones: I began the selection of pieces wich are diferent black and the carbon fiber ones, te internal parts ofo some resin parts simulate carbom fiber texture, I love it: And here is part of the carbon fiber application: Testing the air valves:

Some advance on the engine:
Cutting radiator mesh: Some fork work: I noticed in some other WIP two pieces that the Tamiya kit doesnt have: Check out the really small allen screws: More little screws: Rear suspension work: Look at the photoedched simulates crews on the rear shock mount:

I made the frame and rear suspension interior with thick paper, and then covered with primer, and some parts with epoxy putty, then sanded with a dremel tool:
Eliminating foot pegs to add the Top Studi oones: I still need to add some welds in the frame and rear arm. I finished the rims:

This piece was really hard to get from the resin tree: I had to make some scratch pieces: I began some of the electronic pieces:
