pls help, my bmw is falling apart!!!
i have a '96 328is it's my baby, but lately i have been experiencing 1 problem after another with this car! but 2 major problem that i would need help or advice on is that i cannot turn on my a/c. when i press the button, the a/c wouldn't turn on! the heat is driving me insane. the other problem is that my headliner is peeling to the point that i cannot see my rear window. i bought a headliner adhesive from autozone. it's a spray can which worked great at first. but the next day it would peel off again. i'm trying to avoid going to the detailing or upholstery shop. pls if anyone experienced these 2 problems, let me know what i can do to fix the problem at an affordable price. thanks!

Hmm, I had the same problem with my 318i, the AC shutdown, and would always make a strange noise while driving. It was really loud too, so it kind of freaked me out . What I did is just I unplugged the AC from everything.
If your car is falling apart this bad, Id suggest get a new BMW |

Does the heater control display come on, does the fan function? If yes to both, it sound like a bad heater valve.
The rear of the headliner clips into the roof, glue won't hold it. Has the sunroof been repaired recently? |

the heater-a/c display doesn't come on nor does the fan comes on. i might be calling it wrong, but at the top, the cloth is peeling (not sticking to the top). no i haven't done anything to the sunroof.

Re: pls help, my bmw is falling apart!!!
"PRICELESS" INDEED........back to aj203, you'll need to replace to heater control panel, they fail often, if you have some spare time on your hands, page back through the 3 Series posts and you'll find a link to 'repairing' this control unit [the panel with the buttons]. I haven't tried the repair [don't have the time, I simply replace them] but it might work.
