Nova trouble spots?
Hi, I'm looking at a 1975 Nova this weekend and I would like read about where the typical rust areas, and general trouble spots to look out for on the chassis.
I've heard that you can fit any size engine into any early Chevy, has my leg been pulled? thanks for your info in advance. |

Rust spots can happen all over. My brother has a nasty rust spot behind the front right wheel, for instance. Another on the trunk.
As far as engines, you can do most anything to cars by modifying them for your purpose. With the right setup, you could put a lot of different things into a Nova.

Re: Nova trouble spots?
Ya man...i can speak from experience on this issue..i did all of the bodywork on my nova and it came out very good.. the main places you wanna look for rust spots are the front lip of the hood, the lip around the trunk of the car, the floorboards, behind the lip around the backseat windows, and in the lower quarters behind all four tires...as far as the whole engine thing, it can be done but there will beed to be some work done... i was gonna drop a big block in my nova, but i woulda had to do some frame work to get the headers and engine to fit properly, and some heavier suspension... hope this helps man
