I guess it's true then.
sr20det are better for track races, while KA-T Are better for drag.

well, considering we heard it from many people before.. most of us knew this is true..
these two engines are in two different leagues. maybe nissan thought their truck motor had some potential on america's LONG STRAIGHT roads, and not the short curvy roads in Japan. so, they opted out for a torquey engine, and ended up using their truck motor.

well heres is what my drifter friend ( i'm serious ) say about the two cars. hes driven both, and he says that the SR is a better drift car because it comes with a smaller turbo and it comes to full boost at 3200. since on tight corners you need to either be in 1st or 2nd gear, you can have plenty of power to control the slide, or do a smooth break away because of the build up of power is smoother. now for my car, he could not do it ( he didn't try because the lag was soo much ) i barely hit full boost in 2nd gear. its quit hard to drift with my car on its current set up since my full boost doenst' come in until 4K at second gear. however, my car is better for wangan style racing, and dragging.

If anyone has seen the most recent issue of SCC they have an article on turbo-ing the 240sx, listing all the possible/probable engine swaps and the various engines' strengths and weaknesses. They have some interesting things to say about the KA's engineering.
As people have said before, the SR and KA are quite different. I personally like the torquiness of an NA tuned KA in my S13.
