A/C Smell
I live in an area that has recently been ravaged by wildfires and my Max (01 SE) has picked up an awful stale smoke smell in the A/C ducts. It is so bad, and continious that it almost seems as though some biologicals got living in there. My question is does anyone have any experience with this? Could I strategically spray some bleach in the inlet (that I'm guessing is in front of the windshield) to the A/C ducts to kill the offensive odor? Thanks in advance for any response.

- used car dealers use ionizator inside a car for a week - to kill the cigarette smokers stink... Neither actually cleans anything but (they say it?) kills the smell. You 'gain access' not from top, but from cabin: pass side boot has the fan, its bolted on with three nuts. Relatively easy and big access hole when removed. Another small one nearby is the resistor assy, depicted here (General layout has not changed since 80's). Attach/tape a bit of ½" garden hose into vacuum cleaner and suck any dirt out... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507...-maxima/page-7 The 02 maxima I know has also a filter for the incoming air. Yours too? Take it out to get access, replace it and get most smell off... also from pass side boot.

Re: A/C Smell
I was finally able to correct this by changing the "in cab air filter" and spraying bleach into the housing for this. Thanks once again Nahk.
