I seen a black 350Z for the first time last week - it was quite nice. There's not many around where I live, obviously. Everyone who owns real sports cars around here has vettes.
REAL sports car!? Jesus, man grow up and except the fact the Z is a REAL sports car (it is like 10k less than the vette).

I can't believe how moronic some of the comments in here can get.

To quote myself, I was stating that the 350Z is a real sports car. "Everyone who owns real sports cars around here has vettes.", implying that they do not buy anything else. There are not many 350Zs around where I live - considering I just seen the first one last week, this would be quite an indication of that. In other words, when someone around here buys a 'real sports car', they always choose a vette, not a 350Z, not a Supra, not a Viper - always a Vette.

Does this clear things up? I really fail to see what I wrote that indicated anything other than this.

Also, I think the 350Z is $15k less than the vette, whether you compare the top end models of both, or just the base.

Were you agreeing with me?

Sorry about that Jason, I took your post wrong. Also, your second post clarified it a little but still would confuse someone.

That's ok. I can sort of understand how it was taken wrong, especially if read quickly. Let me reword it yet a third time, to remove any possibility of confusion:

When I said "Everyone who owns real sports cars around here has vettes", the 'real sports cars' meant cars of significant value... not a base model mustang, for instance, but sports cars that most people cannot afford, which includes vettes, 350zs, etc.

So, what I meant by "Everyone who owns real sports cars around here has vettes" is "Everyone around here who has enough money to buy a sports car out of range of the average consumer always chooses to buy a Corvette, thus 350Zs are very scarce around here."
