Re: How to do a proper burnout?
in a RWD car yes, in a FWD car that won't do anything.

its always faster than just step on the gas. the trick is to store some engery in the torque converter, so the car go faster when the brake is released. it has nothing to do with rwd or fwd

Re: How to do a proper burnout?
we were talking about burnouts, not launching. Holding the gas and brake in a FWD car will definitely not result in a burnout.

Re: How to do a proper burnout?
done it, it just results in the torque converter stalling

haha, what's wrong with urs? it's not that hard alright, I'm sure u no how to do it. u just won't agree fwd can do it. if u still can't do it, try it with h brake. of course it won't spin like a bad ass mustang, but still enough to make some smokes and un..... few scratches, ha

Re: How to do a proper burnout?
using the e-brake is WAY different than holding down the brake pedal, yes, holding the e-brake WILL work.

Yes, but try to hold only enough pedal pressure to keep the car from moving, any more is excessive and will cause more wear on your rear brakes.

Re: How to do a proper burnout?

Re: How to do a proper burnout?
to do a "proper" burnout your going to need a manual trans automatics can do burnouts but to me it just sounds kind of ehh...an auto powerbreaking to burn out, no offense my trans am is an automatic but with all the tourqe you can do burnouts all day by just giving it some pedal. but i would upgrade to a manual trans hold the clutch in reeve it and dump the clutch walla

Re: How to do a proper burnout?
i know this sounds shitty, but here goes
in my 2001 ranger sport, i have a o\d switch on the shift handle i rev to 2 in neutral with the o\d off, and then pop in drive and click the od a second after. instant blue smoke. in my manual 1988 mustang 5.0 5spd, i just cram the clutch in, and rev to 4500, drop my foot off the pedal, and smoke it down the whole street. good way to piss off your parents. for super smoky marks, wet the area with water. i like putting baking soda in the water too, it works pretty cool. really pure white smoke. |
