Top Speed Twin Turbo W2
Hi guys I´m from Germany and my absolute favoritecar is the Vector Twin Turbo W2 (they looks extreme cool). But my question is how high is the top speed? In a old cardgame is the value 390 kph (242 mph) but on the websides where is the car is the value 320 kph (199 mph). And a other question. Is the top speed of the WX3 realy 402 kph (250 mph)? And is they only a concept car?
Vector Twin Turbo W2 Sorry for my bad English, I hope you understand. |

There was only one Vector W2 ever built. It was the prototype for the "production" Vector W8 which was in production from 1990 until 1993. Nobody officially took the W2 to a top speed but estimates range all the way to 237 mph (Car and Driver, December 1980). The car would have run out of breath (or broken) well before 200 in the real world.

The W-2 also suffered from aerodynamic lift issues at high speed. The car was designed with a pencil, not a wind tunnel. If you look at early production W-8s versus mid-late production W-8s, you will see the front end was altered to help deal with the aerodynamic lift issue.
