2001 Trooper gas/diesel engine swap

I was just curious if anyone out there had thought about, or knew anything about swaping out the gas for a diesel engine on a 01 Trooper, from what I understand you should be able to get an engine out of a Jackaroo out of Australia. I do understand the amount of work envolved, was just wondering if anyone had heard anything like this?

thanks for any help

Re: 2001 Trooper gas/diesel engine swap

At the risk of invoking the ire of the Automotive Forums folks, I think there is a lot more information on this type of swap on the planetisuzu.com and 4X4 forum. At least they are another resource. A really good idea is to do a forum search on any forum using key words that apply to your interest.
One guys opinion.
