94 cutlass ciera...stalling

So the past couple days my car will stall as I am driving. Usually after a couple minutes will start back up. SInce yesterday cant drive far at all. Today we replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and o2 sensor. Drove around the block and same thing. Stalled out while driving, waited and started again

What else could the problem be? We don't want to keep throwing money into parts if its not the problem and of course we want to fix it at home if possible to save on labor.

Thanks

My BF is checking all the connections. Around the coils he found a red plug that is not connected to anything. It says 14 ped on it. Is this anything? If so is it not supposed to be connected to anything?

Re: 94 cutlass ciera...stalling

So after lots of frustration I posted on another car forum. Some one suggested the crank shaft sensor. My bf pulled it off today and it had oil on it and when he looked inside oil inside it. Also had 2 small hair line cracks on it. So off to the auto store again. Replaced it and that did the trick. He drove it for 30 plus minutes took it to get gas, ran the ac and made it so the temp gauge went up past 220. He went 65 on the country roads and he said it ran super smooth. When we were having the problems he said once the temp gauge hit about 220 it stalled. And he was not able to drive it more then 5 minutes! So its looking good!!

So anyone else having this issue check the crank shaft sensor.
