2004(?) AMV8 Vantage concept
I took these pictures at the Geneva motorshow, and thought some might be interested.

What a great car. Lets just hope that they don't de-tune it down to 390hp or some such B.S. If they drop the standard Jag. S/C 4.2 in that car, I'll be pissed. Why wouldn't you just buy an XKR Coupe for $25k less.

Of course it looks similar to the Vanquish, as do the rest of the Vantage cars. But you can see some differences, and of course this is a cheaper model. I thought it was actually a production car now and not a concept but I could be wrong... Never saw one in that color before, very nice.

I had a chance to see this car at the Genva motor show as well, and it did look very much like a prototype. I remember some details which I would hope not to see in an actual produced car!

The man I was talking to said "it will be ready for production by 2004", but did stress that this was just a concept, and the car could, in fact, not look anything like this!

What I do know, is that orders are being taken. The problem with these customers is that not all of the dealers are willing to take deposits or even orders. Aparently it is not a very clear situation overall, but in any case the car won't arrive before 2005.

So what its a great car and if it does change it will quite clearly suck so Im just gonna have to wait a few more years and till i hit enough money to get the car ..... (in which will i hope ... will be the same )but how much is thecar does anybody have anynidea how much the car is worth so i can see if i can get within 4-5 years time along with selling my car.
so if i can get that would be great |

Around £60k I think, about 45k less than the DB9.

I would have thought late '04, with deliveries in '05, although VIP's would get theirs slightly earlier.
