Batteries run down in 1-2 days

I have a 98 E-350 Club wagon with a PSD and the batteries will run clear down in 24 -36 hours. I have tried pulling all the fuses one at a time and the current draw is still there. It is getting to be pretty annoying. Any ideas??

Re: Batteries run down in 1-2 days

Remove the fuses for interior lights. Take a 12Volt test light and disconnect the ground at the battery. Connect the end of the wire to the battery cable.
Pull one fuse at a time if the light lights when touching the battery neg. this is the circuit with the problem. The interior lights have a timer and you have to wait until it shuts down to test this circuit.
The old fords with external regulator the regulator would ground internally and was the main problem area. Some times you have to disconnect the alternator and tape up the ends as they can go bad.
A lot of times if you watch you can find an interior light or hood light or tailgate light that stays on. They have a more accurate test but this test you should be able to complete.

Sounds like the problem I'm having with my 89 Econoline. I thought it was the battery or Alt. I changed both and still don't know what the problem is. I have to jump it every morning. After that it starts up for the rest of the day. What did you find to be the problem with yours?

Try pulling a relay at night 1 at a time and see if you can find a sticking relay.

Lay down by the gas tank does the fuel pump shut off. You should have an
eec relay around a kick panel right side.

The pump makes noise when it is running. Listen when the motor is running then shut off the motor. If the pump keeps running the relay probably is sticking.

Ok I checked it as you said and the pump shuts off when I shut the engine off. It makes a wining sound when running. What next?
