Dash Lighting

I got a 93 cavalier, and im getting sick of my plain white/yellowish light behing my dash (gas gauge, spedometer, etc). Is there any way I could take out the bulbs and replace them with blue or orange ones? Im just trying to make it look a bit better. Thanks

Re: Dash Lighting

I've seen people hard wire Led's in the place of the little bulbs... i tried using nail polish and that didn't work for too long..... you'd be better off buying a guage overlay that lights up in blue or green w/e... good luck...

I did the replacing of the bulbs to my gauges..it doesnt look bad at all..Its really easy. just take the dash of and take out the gauge. which is screwed in. and once you have the gauge out unscrew the plastic piece and whatever other screws are being held in and then you can just get in the back of the gauge and take the bulbs out.

thanks for the reply. my only problem is i can't figure out how to take the dash apart. is there any hidden screws? or does it pop off somehow like everthing else. lol

ok from what i remember, theres a screw on the drivers side, by the fuse box, theres about 4 screws in the glove box, and there are i think 2 screws in a square hole in the glove box, and then on the passengers side theres a piece that comes off of the side of the dash, take that off and there is a screw in there...also remember to take the screw out of the defogger by the window. once all that is off, take the screws out of the plastic piece that is around your HVAC, radio etc....and remove those screws
