Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

I have now reached my [current ] goal of Mclaren F1 related books, as the 1995 and 1997 GT Endurance books turned up today

Harking back to the original post and my quotation of ArchangelGTR, I now have Michael Cottons GTR with #03R on the front, all the Le Mans Annuals from 1995 to 1998 (1997 was received a few weeks ago) and all the GT Endurance books from 1995 to 1997

I can't wait to get reading once the children are asleep

PS I have also just located the GT-International book by Mark Cole, delivery expected early in the New Year

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Long time lurker but first time poster on the forum and I'm starting with a question related to this topic. I have a couple of copies of the GTR book by Michael Cotton and I'm considering selling one of them. Unlikely as it is with the infrequency they appear for sale, is there any of the three covers which command more of a premium over the other two? I have the Gulf and Harrods covers, and paid two very different prices for them.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

I would very much like to own either of those - don't particularly care for the West cover which seems most common.

Let's do some business here once you settle on a fair price, which by my estimation has always been between $250-$300.

If we're all going to fight over this now, I guess prices will be going up maybe.

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

This is one book that I do not have a copy of (don't have a clue why except that I've missed out on several opportunities where I was bidding for them) that I really should and would enjoy.

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Thanks for all the PMs, I didn't expect to have quite so much interest when I posted! I forgot to mention is my original post that the Gulf cover copy is also signed by Ray Bellm, Derek Bell and Andy Wallace.

You have been outbid slightly Peloton. I think my profile may have said I was based in the States but i've corrected it as I'm in the UK.

I didn't say that was my final price, just an estimate based on what I have seen them trade for in the past.

It's arrived!! Relatively cheap, and only 6 pages on the F1, but a great book to have in the collection

Re-visited the Le Mans DA last night for a friend and whilst trying to [successfully? / unsuccessfully?] find a certain picture, I shot these (first pics a good 'un) -

I have a West cover version of the Michael Cotton book which I am selling. Realistic offers by pm before it goes on evilbay.
Unfortunately economic circumstances dictate that I part with some collectibles.
