smoking from the oil filler cap, dipstick and exhaust
Hi all and HELP!
I have what could be a big problem but not sure. When i start my MGB GT '81 it is smoking from the oil fill cap immediately and blows smoke when running mainly in low gears and giving it a bit of grunt. The smoking from under the hood is continuos from the filler cap. I have checked the oil and water levels and the running pressure of the oil seems normal. How can it be burning oil so soon even before the engine gets hot???? Any light on this would be much appreciated and keep the old girl on the road. |

Make sure the crankcase is ventilated. Check to see if the PCV valve is stuck closed. Carb spray is a good fix or replace.
