Foreign substance damaged entire fuel system.

Hi. My 04 Pontiac grand am suddenly stopped as if it was getting no fuel. I dropped the tank and noticed the fuel pump was covered in white-yellow slime and the entire tank lining. The gas was milky white. The fuel filter was completely clogged and the fuel lines are full of this stuff. I'm going to check the rail/injectors/pressure regulator next. I attached two pictures. Does anyone know of a chemical that can be a liquid then mixes with gas and can polute the entire system and then turn hard like rubber cement? This was pretty malicious and expensive. Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
