Looking for the soft ride that wouldn't brake the bank bank

I just sold my 93 Lincoln TC Signature with Cartier seats ( i think).
The thing is it was the best riding car I had and I have a bad back. I know, i know - why did I sell it than?
The reason was actually trying to find even better riding car.
I've herd (drove a couple of times too) 94-96 Lexus LS400 should be an even better riding car. 96-97 Jaguar XJ6 looks pretty good pricewise too. I would prefer to avoid GM vehicles because I don't believe they are as reliable and MB, BMW are too much on maintenance.

Any suggestions for a car 4-6 k MPG in the 20th that would have a nice/soft ride?

Thanks!

Re: Looking for the soft ride that wouldn't brake the bank bank

I am still searching and coming to like two more vehicles.
97 Jaguar Vanden Plas or XJ6 L (long wheel base) they ride a little smoother (for me) compare to a "regular" XJ6.
I also like 98-99 XJ8, but I am more concerned with maintaining it all the tensioner issues blown head gaskets etc.
Any opinions/suggestions?

Thanks!

I like riding my car. It is Accord which I purchased for the first time when I learnt car riding. It is soft and smooth in ride. I will suggest you to take a test drive of this car if you are seeking qualities and of soft and smoothness in breaks.

Hey I love Hondas, always did always will, but they are NOT know for their soft ride. That's why I sold every Honda I've ever owned. You Jamesfranklin sound like a young kid so for you it maybe a best riding car, not for a geezer like me
I ended up buying an 02 Lexus for close to 20k out the door it rides very well and has a better handling than Lincoln ever will. I am still missing my 93 Lincoln though

I like a guy that tells it like it is,,, I agree with your about Honda and your other mentioned statement,,, your choice 02 Lexus excellent smooth ride,,, but nothing will match the memory of the early 90's Lincoln's and Caddie's it was like going down the highway on an air cushion.
