6.5 fuel water drain
Husband hates to drain water on my 6.5., this suburban has been by here before - still going. Well it stalls when he trys to drain the water off, and then he gets really cranky cuz apparently it needs to be primed or something just awful to restart. One mechanic years ago said something about rewiring something to keep something else running to drain it with out stalling... our usual diesel guy more recently gave me a homemade plug in; and said he'll know what to do with it. Well he doesnt. It's a flat end electric plug oval shape, where would this plug into?? While running, not running? Hopefully someone has an idea about what I'm talking about, I'll check back. Until then I'll be searching the internet just as he requested...

Re: 6.5 fuel water drain
Sorry there usually is a picture of my 95. But I remember now.... water drain wont work if the lift pump isnt working. Which it does cuz I hear it. Still afraid to drain the water though...cuz I heard if it stalls... you'll never get it to start again. Wonder what the proper way to drain that water is? What if this truck outlasts my diesel mechanic, I might have to learn how to do this.
