E Brake light problem
alright, this started yesterday morning when i started the car and notice the ebrake light was going away so i pull the ebrake and push it back down 2 or 3 times to see if it goes away but it didnt.....so i thought it was nothing .. on my way to school... the light was going on and off... and when i got to the school.. it turned off.. and thats was it... and then it did the same thing this morning ..and when i got to the school.. it went away..and when i was making a right to the parking lot .. it came on again and when i straight it ... it went away....
anyone know why its doing that ??? Is my brake sensor going bad or something ??? my friend told me to reset my ECU but taking the battery wire out and then push the brake like 10 times and put the battery wires back on ...and start it up... it didnt come on ..but its only happens in the morning i think since it happen twice in the morning.... oo also i live in chicago so its starting to get cold ..i dont know if the weather is a problem here... OO and also guys if your goin to reset your ECU ... please make sure that you have the Code for your radio ... cause i didnt know about the radio and its code.. and i thought i had broken the radio or something... it was funny. Re: E Brake light problem
Sounds like the switch. Pull out the plastic around the brake lever and you should see some sort of button of switch that controls the light. It's probably jammed or something.

Re: E Brake light problem
In your bio it says you drive a Toyota Tercel. Are you posting questions regarding your tercel in a CR-V forum?
If it IS a CR-V check your brake fluid first. If the fluid is full then go to the nearest Honda dealer and buy a new cap and filter for your master cylinder reservoir. The floats inside get stuck frequently causing this exact symptom to happen. It should cost you less than $15. Hope this helps. |
