71 engine swap
my 71 cruser has blown apart 3 rebuilt stock trannies so its time for an upgrade, my problem is I dont know what to replace it with.. it currently has a chevy 250 under the hood and I cant decide if I should keep it or swap it for a 350. I heard from someone that the 350 doesnt fit mounted straight and im not intrested in angeling it to get her in. if u know if that is true please let me know, also if u know what kind of trannie will be best to throw behind that 250 please feel free to suggest it to me. I would apprieciate it alot. thanx

the 350 will go in straight if you get the right motormounts. check with man-a-fre for the different kits availible, as for the tranny im not sure, my fj had a 350 with the stock 3 speed and i never had any problems. |
