Sorry Mr. Enzo, you were beaten almost 40 years ago by another production car

Enzo Ferrari was beaten by the 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe, but Enzo had the last race of the season cancelled so Ferrari ended up winning the championship.

Who cares bout a 1/4 wow take the number one car on the same road course with the same year ferrari let alone a new one and see what happens. Although i think the F40 should have been called the Enzo. Why u ask? Ok lets look at this if you are going to make a car and name after the founder wouldn't you want it to be the defining car of its time? Lets face it the Enzo is fast but it has been beatin by some other supercars on certain course others it barley nudges them. Where as when the F40 come out and ferrari annouced the top speed of 200+ that spped was only achieved by airplanes and pure drag cars. Not a production car, that handled like a dream to top it all. just my 2 cents though.

Two things to remember:

1. Supercars do lots of things well, not just one thing well. They're built for fast driving around sweeping curves and pinpoint handling, as well as high acceleration. Try getting a late 60s dodge to compete with (for argument's sake) an Enzo in any other test, and it will sorely lose. Putting a big engine in something and making it go fast for a whole 1/4 mile is pretty easy. Making a car as well rounded as the Enzo requires a bit more skill.
The Enzo probably even gets better gas mileage...

2. Judging a car by one number is pretty stupid. Why not just build yourself a jet car (like the trust SSC) and go 760mph becuase that's surely faster than the Enzo would ever hope to be!!!!!!1111

EDIT:

3. Don't be a troll.

Whoop-dee shit. Drag racing times ranked somewhere just above grocery space for Ferrari when building the Enzo.
