Re: Scion Supra

The technology for cars to use fuels other than gas could have been used years and year ago, but it would crush the worlds economy.. the whole "running out of oil" thing doesn't really matter. You could use hydrogen powered engines with synthetic oil, which is better anyway, and build hot rods just as well as with gasoline.

But we as people do not control when a change will be made, only time can. Having these crappy hybrid cars is not something I will participate in...If a new fuel that is more economic but still puts rubber on the pavement is introduced somehow without killing the economy, I will partake.

Re: Scion Supra

Yeah.. 7M > V8... its called the RX 400H... the Extremely Popular Lexus Hybrid.. they managed to marry the RX 330's 3.3L V6 with the hybrid engine... according to all the reviews ive read it has more power and more torque than the regular RX 330 but this one gets about 1000 KM.. umm like 650 miles to the tank.... and i can tell you one thing... i can already make the tires on the rx 330 squeal... more power... more torque... easier to squeal the tires.. makes sence no... AS well Toyota is releasing the Highlander Hybrid.. same deal as the lexus

Re: Scion Supra

So it's electronically assisted? Its still no major performer. I won't fall to the gimic of hybrid automobiles reguardless of what mpg you get, its just another way to get people to waste their money by thinking they are saving some.

I mean gas really is cheap.. 2 $ a gallon is nothing compared to most other countries. My afternoon vehicle is there for pleasure and I don't care how much gas i burn.. my to and from work ride is a civic, sure i'd rather it be a hybrid but 25 mpg is not burning a hole in my pocket, not enough to convince me to spend too much money on a hybrid car.

If you want to reply please PM or start a new thread this one is older than my relationship with my mk3.
