The new Z06 is the first modern car to be reengineered with an aluminum chassis. The standard C6 has a steel chassis and the Z06 has an aluminum chassis. It was NOT just as simple as saying, "we'll have aluminum instead of steel."

Dry-sump oil reservoir. It holds the engine's eight or so quarts of oil. A dry-sump lubrication system allows the engine to be mounted lower in the chassis than a normal wet-sump lubrication system (which the standard C6 has). It also is safer for the engine due to the fact that the oil doesn't get pushed around in hard cornering.

Few new cars have dry-sump lubrication.

Thats a nice car. Twin turbos would do wonders to it as well!
