Well...if they were $4000 originally...sell them as is for $1000 and hope you find a sucker. Thats not the nicest thing in the world but...hey, you could tell them that its cracked but that cracks can be fixed and let them decide.

Yeah I don't think they'll buy it either.

Re: cracked wheel

well i asked a guy from wal mart wht he suggests to do on a cracked rim, he said find a place on the net that will do a "cold weld" or you can put silicone and then a tube, but eventually you will need a new one no matter what you do

Re: cracked wheel

well, they are going to do a better method, instead of putting the bead on the outside of the crack, they are going to grind a v-shape into the crack so the weld fills the whole crack. what i don't understand is if this is the better way to do it, why the fuck didn't they do it this way the first time.

they didn't grind the crack before welding? you can't penetrate the crack with the weld if you don't grind into it.

Re: cracked wheel

181.00 bucks for a stock TT wheel.

This price was from one of those banner adds at the top of the page. Some place called http://www.getcrashparts.com/

They have wheels there... the prices arent to bad....not to great either. But there are wheels I am sure they can get you four of them and BAMB you killed 2 birds one stone, wider stock rims on all 4 wheels. And they could sufice as winter rims for now and then in the spring by some new sport rims for the summer. I think its worth the $724.00 for winter rims and then get some good winter radials to throw on there. Then when the spring rolls around you will have a new rim for the one that cracked.
