Re: cracked wheel
i am on the look out for other wheels, but i don't have money for that right now, so i am getting it welded for a temporary fix. just like a patch in a tire, it is a temporary fix until you can buy new tires. so i will probably have to go back to stock rims for a while

Re: cracked wheel
welp, my wheel probably won't be repaired until monday or tuesday . and i will probably save up some money for some stock rims off of ebay (have to pay for fixing wheels, speeding ticket, and fuel injector), and then i am going to save up for the Blitz 03 wheels, you can find them here http://www.amzperformance.com/z32/?p...2ff3118ba3f722& i will get 17x9 front and 17x10 rear.

i've know many people that got their rims fixed from a small crack with no problems. a small crack in the barrel of the rim is not as bad as if the center hub part of the rim was cracked. if i had my new rims and tires ready i would just give you my stock ones, not sure how long you would want to wait for them.

Re: cracked wheel
i have been looking for a weight one them, they are 3-piece forged wheels. it will be $2k for all four wheels. so it would probably be a while before i get them, if i can talk my parents into if i can get a credit card or not (they ultimately decide if i can or not right now) then i could get them earlier. but then my dad (been a mechanic for 20 some odd years now) says that they should be fine, if it does crack again, it will just leak air again and it wouldn't be a huge threat. so after my dad's advice, it is harder to decide to just keep my rims i have now or save up for new rims.

Re: cracked wheel
nevermind, i am not going to get those wheels. found out the weights of them. for the 17x9 they weight 25 lbs. and the 17x10 weight 29 lbs. ha, right, i don't have to think twice about not getting them.

dude...thats ironic because i was looking at getting those but i cant fine a weight for them. im trying to stick with something under 20-21 lbs. they have a chrome lip and everything but there isnt alot of rim so they might be a little over 20lbs.

Re: cracked wheel
Yeah that's kinda no-brainer, freak! I have only heard of people fixing bent rims not cracked... even then the rims are not 100%! I'd hate to say it but I think you need a new rim... or a whole new set! Good-luck!

Re: cracked wheel
i dont want to get a new rim because i found out that my rims are $1k a piece, so i am going to save up for the SSR GT1, probably buy them at the end of next summer. because if it does crack again, it will just start leaking air again.
