Re: 2004 Grand Am AC issue

Why was all this replaced in the first place?

So you replaced, the compressor, the drier(accumulator?), orifice tube and hi side valve.....you evacuated the system, and added freon by weight?

With the A/C off, normal operating temp, is the temp out of the register, 140-155F with control at full hot? Does it drop down to ambient air temp, when control is set to full cold?

If it does, the temp actuator is working.....now, read the ambient air temp(use a thermometer or infrared gun) with A/C off, and full cold setting......now turn on the A/C, MAX setting....is the compressor running? it should run constantly......What was the register temp, and how much does the temp drop with the A/C running? What was the ambient temp at the time, and any guess what the humidity was?
