Re: Your dream conversion project

Fujimi Lambo Diablo into the wonderfull purple SE jota (most beautifull Diablo ever, to my eyes...)
And something like an anti-conversion: make a McLaren F1 roadcar (no wings) from Profil 24's F1 GTR Gulf... Hard work on resin, difficult air intake modfications...
Dream conversions: let's say modeler's nightmares!

Re: Your dream conversion project

I would say a 88-91 CRX with detailled F20C engine and integral transmission. I have the kit, the engine from sakatsu, now i wait for the skills !

P.S. : a 4x4 CRX is possible, i saw one.

Re: Your dream conversion project

A Mercedes SLK GT-1 Racer. How?
Body of the regular Tamiya CLK GT-R, with the roof and tailights of the Tamiya SLK, all converted to front engine lay-out (I´m a Panoz freak).

I'd like to take something and build the Dodge Turbo Interceptor aka Dodge M4S from "The Wraith."

1. My current dream is to finish converting a Hasegawa Stratos into a fully detailed, engine and front off model. I gave up on the doors already. Progress is realy slow!

2. A full detail (engine and suspension) Jaguar D-type. Using the curbside Fisher kit with the engine and running gear from a Revel XKSS.

3. Converting a Tamiya Lotus 107B into a 107C with a transplanted (Mugen)Honda V10 replacing the Ford V8.

4. Devolving a Tamiya Williams FW24 to the early season aerodynamic package and 'Compaq' livery.

And heaps of other stuff besides. From easy stuff like a Tommi Makinen 1000 Lakes Escort to tricky things like a Hasegawa "circuitboard" Sauber C9 with a suitably modified donor engine from the Tamiya kit. And of course lots and lots of rally Peugeots.

I'd do it in a minute if Tamiya had done a TR...The Revell kit is, well, revell and the Rosso TR is getting a little 'dear' for cutting up. Then there's the wheels. I think the closest ones are in the Tamiya Mythos kit, and references are hard to come by, even with the Web.
????? and how about the Fujimi 512 TR????? It's not a bad kit after all!
