Re: Nsx R vs Viper Srt 10

jcsaleen: Honda announced a few months ago that they have cancelled plans for their NSX replacement. Meanwhile, the Viper is getting better and better, constantly expanding its horizons. Dodge is even building a Viper drift car. I love the NSX, but it's not quite ready to dice with the Viper yet.

In the end MR is superior due to weight displacement if I remember correctly.

the dodge would own wat? the tail lights of the NSX going around the next corner as the dodge is coming out of the previous corner...in the straights 500hp is going to dominate even wit ha 3000lb curb weight....the NSX is great in corners...honda needs to bring the power up a lil htought...even though the torque curve on the NSX is as flat as it gets....

Re: Nsx R vs Viper Srt 10

no they can turn alright, but NSX's turn awesome... the closest thing u will get to supercar handling... especially a good spec NSX (eg. s-zero). u say vipers are cheaper. in america yes, everywhere else, no. do u have any idea how cheap early 90's NSX's are in japan? ridiculously cheap. do u have any idea how much i will pay for a viper in aus??? ok example just got an average example - black 1996 viper RT/10, 6 speed manual convertible... $149,999 (thats australian $ or $104,000 US) ... now a '91 honda 6 speed manual hardtop NSX is going for $56,000.... a 3rd of the price... but wait, there is a twin turbo NSX with over 400 whp and heaps of other mods for $75,000, and its registered!!! (dont believe me? HERE is the site) now tell me thats not gonna kick viper ass?

Re:

Who said vipers are cheaper?!?! LOL!!! Sorry I have to laugh... Viper Cheaper than NSX's??? what country do you live in??? haha can't pick up a used viper for under 40k around me... I've seen NSX's listed for 18-30k.....

(I live in Washington State, USA)

and new prices NSX ~85k
Viper ~ 100k

Re: Nsx R vs Viper Srt 10

i wouldnt know i dont live in USA... well there u go, what sense does it make to buy a viper if a NSX is so much cheaper? i mean if i had saved $15,000 US and i had that money i would spend a good 6-7000 on suspension and chassis, 3-4000 on engine, 1-2000 on rims and tyres and the rest on misc stuff: racing seat and harness, sound system, short shift kit and clutch. then i would have 1 awesome, quick, mad handling machine. the only thing the viper would have over my nsx would be torque.
