Re: Airbag light!!!
Your vehicle will require an airbag scan tool for the proper diagnosis.
Once you have the fault code you will know what to replace. Here is the fault code chart for your Suzuki http://www.airbagsolutions.com/docs/codes/98/sz2.pdf Here's a site that will explain everything you need to know about airbag lights and resetting the system. Although it’s a pay site ($14.95/day), it’s a lot cheaper than going to the dealer http://www.airbagsolutions.com/ On most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for @6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly. If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously. If the airbag light does not work properly, some vehicles have an audible tone that sounds indicating a problem with the airbag light system. When the light is on (or the tone is sounding), the airbag will NOT deploy, even in an accident. The flashing light on your car is telling there is a problem. On some vehicles, the light is flashing a two digit code. Once you know the code, you can most likely repair it yourself. There are fairly easy procedures that most people are capable of repairing. Some vehicle manufacturers accommodate systems without a scanner (like Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Infinity, Honda, Acura, Ford, Lincoln, Mazda & Mercury) . Most all other vehicles require a scan tool for the diagnosis. Check out these websites also for more info on airbag systems and the light. http://blog.airbagsolutions.com/arch...ould-i-do.aspx Lastly, check your vehicle for recalls through this link also: http://www.airbagsolutions.com/nhtsa.aspx

Re: Airbag light!!!
We all know that Forenza cars have airbag light issues. Most of them are because of the TSB saying the wires under the seat are disconnected. Usually it is the passenger seat weight sensor. You will know when that is broke when your pass on/off light is not working right. Mine is working fine. I have checked the wires from the seats to the control module and they are good. I have the checked the clock spring and it is good. I was thinking the wires to the seat bags were pulled so I went and got some resistors 1.5 and 2.2 ohm to simulate the squibs in the bags so the computer thinks there are bags. From my research 1-3 ohms resistors simulate the bags. Neither one worked, I still have a airbag light on. I have bought a good used control module and no luck there either. The system resets it self every time the key is turned on. The control module detects a fault every time. From my research only the suzuki dealer has the scanner to pull the fault code. Anybody have any other ideas??? I dont want to take it to the dealer. The pass and driver bags are duel stage. Can I put resistors in in both pairs of wires going to the bag to simulate the bag to see if the bag itself is the problem? Forenzas have pretentioners and side impact sensors but I have not read one article of those going bad. Everything I read is saying its seat issues but I think mine are fine. Has anyone fixed a Forenza airbag light?

Re: Airbag light!!!
I have the same problem on a 08 Forenza, I cleaned the plug under the driver seat and it worked for a while and then on again. Cleaned it again but no luck. Maybe a silly question , if I connect the 2 connections together will that maybe shut it off ? Or do other damage?
