Don't forget the old (68 i believe it was) Hemi powered, straight from the factory, Dodge Dart. That thing ran in the 11 second range STOCK.

Yep, I remember those. They came with a disclaimer that there was no warranty or something along those lines. However, I don't like supercars.net, the specs are incorrect on a lot of the cars.

The Superbird and Daytona Charger R/T are in the top three of my favorite car list.

My friend has an old Plymouth duster with a standard bore 340 V8 that holds the nation record for its class. It runs in the 9 second range at about 150mph in the quarter mile. The standard bore 340, yes only 340 cubic inches, makes around 900 horsepower--naturally aspirated. No turbo, no supercharging. It pulls the wheels in all 4 gears, running a jericho 4-speed manual. Its known as the wheel-standing duster.

Hey! I've got one too!
Mines only a 318 with a 727 auto, Never had it on a Dyno but it still has the original iron 1966 273 2 Barrel heads that it came with from the factory.

All metal and lots of it...except the hood which also sports a Hemi scoop to make room for the manifold and carb.

I've got discs up front too...76 Duster... from a salvage yard

I stuck a 4.56 gear set in the Dana 60 with a Titanium Spool and gun drilled axles.

My sound system comes from the peddle on floor and the amp is a set of Super comp 42" tuned headers...WIDE OPEN! "Can you hear me now?"

Got "A" bucket seat...plastic, but it's got a vinyl cover!..and a 8 point roll bar to hook the 5 points to.

..all motor... no juice... no blow job...best to date..12.12@109.99

Motors out right now and ready for the new fully ported 2.02/1.60 J heads...will easily move the heap to around 11.60's at 115 mph....respectable for a Iron headed 318 .....:smoker2:

Barracuda...Plymouth Made It...

BTW when you say Vortec are you saying that it's Chevy powered?

Yeah the Superbird was a brilliant musclecar. Winged Warriors, what an appropriate name for the Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird.
