2000 Saturn SL Problem

i just bought a used saturn sl today its a 2000 and has 230,000 miles its a manual and i cant get it to go over 65 it doesnt sound like the clutch is bad does anyone know what this could be?

another strong possiblity with that many miles is a clogged catylidic convertior. it is part of the exhaust that lowers emissions. if you pound on it and it rattles theres a good chance it done.
