Re: tuner car running from the cops with explosion

al, i'd be glad to do a step-by-stepper. i have that in mind anyway. it may not be immediately soon. yet i will do one. just be patient.

i think using models is the next best thing to having the real thing on your desk. this way, the artist has endless creative freedoms whilst maintaining realism.

Re: tuner car running from the cops with explosion

for the record, if i haven't already said it, the 'tuner car running from the cops' is a derived angle based on several photos of maximas and cop cars. the front wheel was drawn with a template as were several, not all, lines of the body. the drawing is a total mixture of template with freehand.

Cool, like the way you did the front wheel. Did you use a compas?

template. same difference.

i seldom use a compass anymore. i will resort to a compass if i've left my templates somewhere or lost them, or if i need to do an extreme arc. in that case, i will use a string with a tack for the center, then tie it to a pencil.

car body is a freehanded invention based on a couple of references.
