Re: Ford Escort RS1800
If I am unable to find a set of tarmac wheels/tires I am happy with I will model the car with gravel tires. These are resin copies of the set that comes in Hasegawa's Nissan Bluebird Safari kit.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800
Boreham installed dual calipers at the rear. One for the hand brake and one for the foot (pedal) brake. The kit does not include this detail. I cut a set from a glue boom kit I purchased and installed them.

Me too Boreham. Found the Works Escorts in Detail book on-line for a good price. Should have it next week. Maybe it will give me a few more details to try and replicate.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800
You should cast some of the parts into a transkit for the Escort. I'm sure there are many of us modellers who would appreciate it. Must be hundreds of these kits waiting to be built by people put off with all the work needed to make a nice one..

Re: Ford Escort RS1800
Fantastic work....really great to see an Escort being done so well. With this and Puffyrs's Rothman's build..there are plenty of how-to's available now.
