Well, I've already got an SR20DET 240SX. Scott's girlfriend Jenny has a hatch, and he gets her an S15 Blacktop and tranny for their 6 month anniversary. I basically tried to cover as many 240SX engine choices as possible. I've got one with a stock KA, a turbo KA, an SR, an RB, and even one with an LT1 V8(a guy around the corner from me has one).

The stories aren't just one race after another. All three of them tie in together and show how Scott's grown up quite a bit from when the story begins. I don't want to spoil it for you, but heck, he goes from being single with no job and living with his mother to being married and running a tuning shop. Scott also makes new friends along the way and learns from them.

The reason I've got the Viper, Camaros, Mustangs, etc is because domestic cars are the entire theme for the second story.

I didn't really think I could fit a GT-R into the trilogy, so I plan on having one(along with an FD3S, possibly another NSX, and a properly done MKIV Supra) in the 4th story.

Why not? The real world is like that. You don't just see British cars, French cars, Italian cars or German cars totally separate from one another. Different people of different ethnicities have different tastes, and buy different cars. Scott likes Japanese cars, but his new wealthy British friend Alec has a large collection of cars, mostly British, but there is one Audi. Shin, Scott's mentor, drives a 510 and 240Z from Datsun. Ajay, an Indian acquaintance of Alec's, likes Mercedes, and has two of them, but then decides to try a 240SX on for size. Guys like Klaus(German) and Gennady(Russian) from the Porsche Laufende Gruppe are die hard Porsche fans, and would probably never buy anything else. Kenneth is the same way with Subarus, going from one Impreza to another. His girlfriend Amber is of Mediterranean descent and has two BMWs.
The world isn't black and white. There's tons of browns, pinks and yellows, and they can be mixed together sometimes, especially in Houston, where my story takes place. The automotive scene, particularly in an area as diverse as Houston, should be no different.

Re: Street racing story, kinda like Ini-D...

I'm at 97 pgs on part 3. Still making up for what I lost(was at 125pgs).

Part 1 is about 124pgs, but I plan on adding a bit to it, possibly even another race. It'll be an AW11 MR2 driver who built a trailer from the rear of another wrecked MR2. He carries tools and different tires in it. He's supposed to be prepared for anything.

Part 2 is 198pgs long, but I plan on adding a meet scene to feature more cars, as well as another encounter(more like a big chase scene) with the main antagonist midway through the story.

Re: Street racing story, kinda like Ini-D...

I'm up to almost 160pgs on part 3, now. I just came up with an idea for another race, basically a rematch. It gives me a chance to use more cars, and it's a bit more dramatic.

Re: Street racing story, kinda like Ini-D...

Well, I've been taking some time to put something on paper before I type it up. I think I finally crossed the halfway point for part 3.

I'm working on a pretty cool race right now, between Kenneth and his modded Subaru Impreza WRX STi and Angus with his WRC-liveried Ford Escort Cosworth. The 'track' uses a couple short roads and manages to go from tarmac to asphalt, gravel, asphalt, gravel, then tarmac again.

Angus and Kenneth have a bit of a grudge between them from their first race together. Their rematch will have some exciting rally-style action. There's also another person who has it out for Kenneth, and could change the shape of the race.

Oooh, drama!

I figured since this forums is for Ini-D fans and my story is similar to that style, you guys might be able to help me out with some ideas. So here goes:

My main character(haven't decided on a name yet. Call him "MC" for now) is a college freshman who wants to join a prominent car club called Team Fusion. Fusion's leader, Rey Santos, is a good friend of the MC. Rey doesn't want to just let him in, because it will look like he's playing favorites. He tells the MC that he has to race him and keep up in order to be worthy of joining. Oh, and Rey drives a supercharged Honda Prelude making over 250hp.

The story starts with MC's car, an EG-chassis Civic, getting stolen and stripped. He has to find a way to rebuild his car so that he can race with Rey. An old performance shop owner named Shin takes him under his wing, and helps him build up his Civic. Shin used to be a circuit racer in Japan before moving to the U.S. MC meets a customer of Shin's who does autocross, and she agrees to help hone his driving skills. It turns out MC's father was a driving enthusiast, and got MC a go-kart when he was young. He competed and won a few tournaments when he was 12 or so. The father dies before MC turns 16, so he never got to see him drive for real. MC ends up having a great base to build further driving skills on, and everyone is impressed with his abilities.

Meanwhile, MC has a CR-VTEC engine and suspension in his stripped out, lightened Civic. At one point a BMW 5-seires driver accidentally taps his bumper on the freeway. He doesn't stop, and MC chases after him. A news chopper happens to catch the chase on camera, and MC gains some notoriety after the chase is televised.

Later, MC has to race Ken, another person who wants to join Team Fusion. Ken is a former amateur rally driver from the East Coast, and drives a supercharged Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS. They duke it out in the rain for the chance to race with Rey in the end.

After the race with Ken, a turbo Civic driver from a team called the Spartans asks MC to join after seeing the 5-series chase. The Spartans are a team of stripped out cars, much like the MC's. They race each other on a dark, cramped, narrow road in the country.

Finally, it's time for the big race with Rey. Rey's been hearing about MC's races, and is getting a little nervous. On a side note, Rey doesn't know anything about driving or tuning. He just expects to have magical gains when you install a part. The day before the race, he gets a nitrous system installed just in case. The MC ends up having to hold back, because Rey is so slow and uncontrolled with his driving. In the end, the MC decides to try and make a pass. Rey gets scared and fires up his nitrous, and BOOM! The Prelude's engine blows because it couldn't handle the supercharger and the nitrous.

Thus ends the first part of my story. My goal is to show the difference between tuning philosophies. The MC's car is tuned for performance only, with a stripped-out interior, lightweight wheels, and a coilover suspension. His car is really prepared to race. Rey's Prelude on the other hand, is nicknamed the "Lead 'Lude," because it is so heavy. It may be supercharged, but it also has a big bodykit, decked out interior with a big stereo system and video screens, and big, heavy wheels. It's better suited as a carpet queen at a car show than a racing car.

Any comments so far? I tried not to post too much at one time. There's actually a lot more to this.hehe
Talk about evolution, the real story only folows the basic plot!

Yeah. I hadn't read that outline in a while. Crazy how things have changed in just the 2 years since I started writing the first part. I guess that's a sure sign of progress.

Btw, I finished the 'rally' race in part three. I'm going to have to work out some sequencing after that. I know what I want to happen, but I have to figure out when it happens.

I also come up with an idea for possibly two more races in part three. Geez, this is gonna be long. I haven't even typed half of the story yet, and I'm at 180pgs. There's still more to type, then more to write after that.

Re: Street racing story, kinda like Ini-D...

Well, I've been working on thickening the plot some. I want to add some drama.

I'll give you guys a bit of a rundown:

There is a group of Porsche drivers called the Porsche Laufende Gruppe or Porsche Running Group. Picture them having the same intimidation/domination factor that Emperor and Project D have in Initial D. They are very good. The leader named Klaus, is a Nurburgring 24hr veteran and a real consistency freak. 'You could set your watch by his lap times,' one character says.

It is rumored that someone in the group likes to steal cars, especially from people the PLG has just defeated. Scott runs into Klaus during a race of his own, and Klaus shows some interest in racing him later.

Scott's best friend Kenneth(the 'bad good-guy') hears about the PLG's darker side, and wants to keep Scott safe. He's also been waiting for a rematch with Scott, so keeping this car thief away only helps his case too. To find the thief and beat the PLG, Kenneth decides to join them first.

The Porsche Laufende Gruppe threat looms on the horizon. With the help of a powerful new ally, will Kenneth prevent the thief from striking? Even within the PLG ranks, not everything is what it seems. Conspiracies abound. Kenneth enters the dark world of road racing, but will he be able to find his way out?

Oooh, drama!
