1999 Avalon slow shift when cold
My 1999 Avalon has 84K and is having problems
shifting from 2nd to 3rd only in the morning when it's cold out. RPMs get to about 3K before it will shift. Once it shifts, it's fine the rest of the day. Fluid is full, red in color with no burnt smell. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. |

Is this different than normal? I would consider this normal.

Re: 1999 Avalon slow shift when cold
Brian,
Thank you for your reply. I don't know what normal is because I purchased this car this summer when it was warm out. There are no check engine lights on. Want to find out if others have had this problem. |

Not a problem. This is normal in cold weather.
