Honda say's--NSX is dead
Looks Like Ferrari really pissed off Honda at that auto show when they called the previous NSX concept "feminine"

Teako Fukui, President of Honda Motor and CEO, announced plans to develop a V10 and also hinted at an AWD platform. We will see it in about 3-4 years...

Yea, but nothing has been offically set. He just said they are developing a V10, I'm guessing from a similar platform as their F1 cars, but I don't think we'll get the 18,000 rpm redline I think the only thing that we can be sure of is that it will be naturally aspirated.

The next NSX's V-10 engine won't share engine parts with Honda's F1 cars.

I didn't say that, I just said a similar platform meaning that it will be a little more race inspired and have some balls.

Re: Honda say's--NSX is dead
The HSC is dead! Honda said that it wasn't designed for anyone taller than 5'10". But! The NSX will be revived in late 08!

Re: Honda say's--NSX is dead
Has anyone seen the speculative animation of the future NSX? Check it out..
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=109733 It is completely blasphemous and dissapointing in my opinion, and I hope that really is a complete speculation. I heard the HSC was dropped, but did that mean the total car? I know the V6 is not happening like in the HSC, but will the body be the same or somewhat similiar....because I completely fell in love with that car, and I won't know what to do if they turn the NSX into some Vantage/TSX front engine crap. That car was my motivation to get a good career! |

Take Heart
I do NOT believe that Acura (Honda) Would take a step Backwards.
I want to think that in the spirit of the NSX they would continue to mount the engine in the rear of the car. Four wheel drive sounds interesting (four wheel steering would be even better). I also hope that they take a page from the Acura RL. The headlights can move up to 20 degrees to help you see into a turn. I'm counting on Honda to " Do the right thing" |
