Amp blown or what?

I turned my stereo on this morning and my subs didnt work. Turns out my power wire fell our somehow. So I took out my inline fuse next to my battery and hooked it back up and it worked fine. I got out of school and turned it on again and the same thing happened. So i changed connectors quick and made sure everything was tightened and put the fuse back in and turned my truck on and now the power light wont come on the amp. So i switched out the connector one more time just in case and the same thing. I have a volt meter and I thought i remembered how to work it but I dont but im gonna learn again today. What may be the problem? The amp is a concept CA-1302 2channel if that helps.

Re: Amp blown or what?

yup..... just recheck everything in the system.... check all your wires fuses ect...... if the amp light isn't even comming on it sounds like a problem w/ the remote wire.... you'd know if it was fried.

Re: Amp blown or what?

Ok so I checked everything out with my meter and everything checks out good. But when I hook up my power and ground wires and test them on the amp I only get a .6 volts on the setting of VDC, I also used a different ground to check the power wire and got a .5 V and everything else is giving me a 14. I didnt smell anything and I took all the precautions before i did anything to the amp as in unhooking all the wires from the battery in the right steps.

Re: Amp blown or what?

check to make sure your fuse is getting contact on the block.... test by holding a small piece of power wire on the metal part the fuse touches (both sides) see if you have power now.

Re: Amp blown or what?

do you have an AGU fuse? they dont look blown when they are sometimes. sometimes theyre kinda connected on the inside but not enough to give power. did you replace the fuse yet?

Re: Amp blown or what?

Ok let me see if i get u right. Take the Inline fuse out of the holder, that is near the battery, and basically touch the 2 power wires together for a brief sec to see if there is power? Or put a piece of power wire inbetween those 2 wires. Sorry, Im not tryin to ask dumb im just making sure so i dont hurt something if its not and im still learning.
