2008-2012 Jeep Liberty Heater Blend Door Actuator Left Hand Drive

2008-2012 Jeep Liberty Heater Blend Door Actuator Left Hand Drive

Tools:

Plastic Trim Tool(s)

Flat Head Screwdriver

T20 driver

Multi meter

Problem:

Electronic temperature control will not allow heat, or change from cold to warm and will remain cold or one temperature.

Diagnosis:

You can remove the glove box and see the end of a yellow greased shaft. If it moves when the knob is turned then the actuator may not be the problem. Unplug the actuator and check for voltage using a multi meter. You should measure voltage when the knob is moved.

Repair:

Take your plastic trim tool and pry the cover off under the steering wheel. It is hinged and once it is unclipped the cover slides left to be removed. You then want to diagnose the issue. If the actuator is the problem take your T20 driver and remove the two screws that hold the actuator in. You then want to check the gear on the actuator and where it meets. Re assembly is the same as disassembly.
