Question 02 tranny swap.?

SO I HAVE this Passat that I want as my project car. Lol. I know but itís just sitting around I need to change the head gasket and maybe even the coolent system. But other then that itís a good car itís just an automatic and I would rather it be a manual. And also I donít have any car experience except for changing tires 😪😪 but Iím only 18 with no car enthusiast in my family, so im trying something that I can gain a lot of knowledge on and still have fun. Iím on here to see what you guys think and whereís should I start.?? Oh and I have to replace the o2 sensor which I may do so idk tho. Any

Re: 02 tranny swap.?

I think a tranny swap is too much for a beginner. Not only are you going to need a lot of tools - some of them specialized - but it's going to take some planning to avoid the mistakes.

Try starting on something less involved.
