88 Blazer 4.3 idle issue after head gasket replacement
I replaced head gasket, and all gaskets up. Fixed vacuum lines, had to time off timing chain alignment. no timing marks, tab missing. I can get to start right up, then idles really high then surges really quick a little higher rpm, also has sputtering to it. What Should I do now?

If its idling high and surging it sounds like you have a vacuum leak.

+1 on the vacuum leak.

Re: 88 Blazer 4.3 idle issue after head gasket replacement
Check your Intake Manifold Gaskets while at Idle by spraying WD-40 or Carburetor Cleaner around the Gaskets, and anywhere else where a leak might be found. If you have a leak, you should hear the engine Rev a little when sprayed.
