Gas Mileage on an American Classic Car?
Hi guys,
After I sold my motorcycle I am thinking of buying an American Classic car year 1955-1959. I would like to get a Chevrolet or Chrysler. If posible with fishtails. Just for my knowledge could you tell me what the approx. gas mileage on those cars is? Thank you. MAD |

My restored 55 Chrys. New Yorker Hemi gets 12-15 at best on reg gas. Cars of that era unless a 6 cyl. Ply or Chevy, are usually in the 11-17mpg range in perfect running condition.

Oh, that is like an older Chevy Suburban. Not bad. Thought they run around 6-10 mpg.

My 57 Chevy BelAir 283 cid with powerglide gets 16-18 MPH at best.
