95 Quest not shift to gear 4
Not sure why my 95 Quest LOST gear 4....
it runs at gear 3 so make it 3.2k rpm at 60mph. Run through A/T control self check seems all good. I have no idea what to do now... Any suggestion are welcome!! thanks |

Re: 95 Quest not shift to gear 4
How many miles on vehicle and have you tryed a fluid and filter change? Does shifting it manually from 3rd to OD make a difference? I am thinking that the torque converter is not going into lock up.

Re: 95 Quest not shift to gear 4
I have the same problem - no overdrive and high rpm's on the road ! The fluid and filter was changed recently and it seems to shift better ( although it's still slow going from 1st to 2nd gear . You mentioned shifting it manually from 3rd to Overdrive . There is no OD position on the indicator . There is a button , on the end of the shift lever , to turn OD on and off . When it's turned off , an indicator light on the dash reads " OD off " . The lack of OD really kills the mpg ! Does anyone have a similar experience ? Any and all suggestions will truly be appreciated !
