2001 windstar limited dieing at speed

I need some help troubleshooting a problem, Windstar with 3.8 runs perfect at idle, runs great down the road, then it will just die going down the road , It seams to do it when under acceleration or climbing a hill, it will just shut off. you can shift it into neutral and it will turn over but not fire, turn the igition off and then back on and it will crank right back up and run perfect again until the next time that it just shuts off. I waited until it died and coasted to a safe parking place, before I switched the igition off I checked and had no pressure at the fuel rail, turned key off, then back on and had pressure at the rail again. I have been to a dealership and 2 independent shops and all could not find the problem, it is not coding so the computer is no help,,I think it is the fuel pump but dealership says no,said if it was pump it would not come back on when igition was reset
