Porsche Safari
I starting here a WIP of an very unique Safari Porsche. The original cars owns Dr. Erik Brandenburg. He lives also in Hamburg/Germany.
With the Martini he raced at the Transsyberia Rallye and Africa Race. In this car he drives to work. In Hamburg are Safaris popular. Now comes to the model. The base is an Carrera Fujimi kit in 1/24. First i cut off the bumpers. In CAD i made new bumpers, suspension, wheels and rims. A friend go mine printed the parts. Now the new parts are mounted. I removed the sills, and i made bigger wheel arch. I'm not happy with the wheels an i made new ones with a smaller profile. Greets Micha

Re: Porsche Safari
I love seeing Porsches being treated so well and with such detail. Very good job, good luck with the rest!

I could def be convinced to buy those parts as a conversion kit. What method/material did you print the parts in? |

Re: Porsche Safari
After long time the next update.
I made the tires new with a smaller profile and the "Michelin" lettering. It was to high after a little sanding looks better. A friend of mine shaped with a lathe new aluminium-rings. Inserts must be sanding to become smoother. Bumpers are done Greets Micha

Re: Porsche Safari
Very nice concept/car/project!
Lathes, mills and 3D-printing is making my modeling life feel pretty empty :-) |

I'm having the Studio27 Martini Decals. Thats really old ones. But it doesn't suit to the Fujimi body. Thats why i make my own

Re: Porsche Safari
After a while i finished all modifing parts for the Safari.
I sprayed a test in "dunkelgelb matt". If anyone is interested in a Trankskit, i will duplicate this at Mike from Scaleproduction? Take care Michael
