Re: APM Ferrari 458 GT2 1/24th
This kit really turned out nice. I have it and the casting and shape is top quality. For a curbside you could not ask for much more. The top of the motor and engine bay are also very well detailed. I do think they should shoot for a lower price, maybe $160.00-175.00 but otherwise almost a perfect 458 GT2 "test" version kit. APM will do more race versions soon.

Re: APM Ferrari 458 GT2 1/24th
Their pre order price for 599XX Evo is $210 and regular price is $280 which is also the price for the 458 GT2. That is way too high for their quality even though their kits are not bad. I would rate the 599XX kit a 7 out of 10 which might be generous considering the conical resin tires.
How are the wheels and tires in the 458 kit, Tom?

The 458 GT2 tires are still hard resin but they do fit ok. That is one thing I would like changed to soft black resin. This is not a full detail kit, but it is a top quality curbside. |

Re: APM Ferrari 458 GT2 1/24th
suspect the wheels of this model are for the prototype car.

Re: APM Ferrari 458 GT2 1/24th
Got my kit yesterday and it is more impressive than the 599XX kit. The castings are better, cleaner, smoother. Granted this is an early kit pulled from the mold, my 599XX kit may have been pulled later after the mold got a bit worn.
I'm sure it will make a great looking model.
